Friday 8th May Celebrates 75 years since guns fell silent at the end of the war in Europe. The 75th anniversary provides an opportunity to reflect on the enormous sacrifice and courage shown by people from all walks of life during the war.
Although we cannot come together physically at this time, we can come together as a nation to mark this historic occasion through celebrations in our homes and on our doorsteps.

- 11am on Friday 8th of May join in a moment of remembrance and pause for a 2 minute silence.
- 3pm on Friday the 8th of May from the safety of your home stand up and raise a toast- 'To those who gave so much, we thank you'
- 9pm on Friday the 8th May join in a UK-wide rendition of Dame Vera Lynn's 'We'll Meet Again' to mark the 75th anniversary. Or watch along with BBC One. Find Out More
