Bus Service 19 is an integral service connecting Cobalt Park with the Metro @ Northumberland Park and Percy Main along with the North Shields Ferry. The service will also connect the Northumberland Line and Northumberland Park when the new station opens early 2026.

There are some proposed changes to this service and Nexus are seeking your views on these. 

They are proposing: 

Better access to Northumbria Hospital with extra trips for staff, patients, and visitors.

Clearer service numbers so its easier to know which bus goes where.

More reliable journeys by streamlining routes and timetables.

Trains are now running on the Northumberland Line from Ashington, Blyth Bebside, Newsham and Seaton Delaval to Manors and Newcastle.

Bedlington & Northumberland Park are opening in early 2026.
