Restart a Heart – Free CPR & Defibrillator Awareness Sessions
Hosted by Cobalt Hospital (Part of Ramsay Health Care)
Restart a Heart (RSAH) is an annual initiative led by the Resuscitation Council UK to increase survival rates from out-of-hospital cardiac arrests. Every October, organisations worldwide unite to raise awareness and help more people learn life-saving CPR and defibrillator skills.
CPR is a skill for everyone. During a cardiac arrest, every second matters. Without CPR and defibrillation, the chance of survival drops by 10% each minute. Together, we can ensure more people feel confident and ready to act when it counts most.
Why It Matters
-
100,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur annually in the UK
-
80% happen at home
-
Every minute without CPR reduces survival chances by 10%
-
Only 11% of people feel confident using a defibrillator
-
Many mistakenly believe only medical professionals can use one
What You’ll Learn

How to perform CPR
-
How to use a defibrillator
