Special Bike Hub Event – Dr Bike & Learn to Fix Session

As part of Cobalt Smartmovers Week, the NHS and WATBike are teaming up to bring you a one-off Special Bike Hub on Friday 19th September, 10am – 3pm.

Location- Cobalt Bike Hub (opposite Tesco & Greggs), Cobalt Central, NE27 0QJ

Thanks to the NHS and Cycling UK’s Big Bike Revival funding, this event is free to all Cobalt Park staff. 

Dr Bike Safety Checks
WATBike mechanics will carry out a full safety check and complete minor repairs to keep you riding smoothly. You’ll also receive a detailed report highlighting anything that needs urgent attention or future maintenance. Please note: this is not a full bike service, and parts such as chains will not be replaced.
Sessions are on a first come, first served basis. Simply drop off your bike and you’ll receive a text message when it’s ready to collect.

Learn to Fix Session (12:30 – 1:30pm)
Take part in a practical workshop to learn essential “on the road” fixes such as repairing punctures, putting your chain back on, and keeping your bike clean and well-maintained.
